One platform.
Every system.
Built around Ajax.
Equus Connect is a unified control platform in development — designed to place the Ajax security system at its core and bring heating, CCTV, lighting and access control into a single, coherent interface for installers and their clients.
In active development by Equus Media.
Integrations shown are planned and subject to partner API access.
A single interface for systems that don't talk to each other
Modern homes run on a patchwork of apps — one for the alarm, another for the heating, others again for cameras, blinds and switches. Equus Connect is being built to bring them together, with the Ajax system as the trusted security core and other systems linking in around it.
Ajax at the centre
The platform is designed around Ajax as the security and automation backbone — arming, device state and automation devices presented in one consistent interface, built on official Ajax integration.
Pending Enterprise APIHeating & climate
Planned integration with leading heating and climate systems such as Hive and Tado, so temperature and schedules live alongside everything else rather than in a separate app.
Planned · subject to API accessCCTV & video
Planned support for established surveillance platforms including Hikvision and Dahua, bringing live and recorded video into the same operational view.
Planned · subject to API accessLighting & automation
Planned integration with automation systems such as SwitchBot and Somfy TaHoma — covering blinds, switches and scenes, including sunrise and sunset-relative control.
Planned · subject to API accessAccess & entry
Designed to bring door, gate and entry control into a unified, permission-aware interface — with access governed by clearly defined user roles.
In designUnified experience
One coherent platform across desktop and mobile, replacing a drawer full of single-purpose apps with a single, considered interface designed for everyday use.
In developmentIntegrations named above are planned capabilities in development and depend on obtaining the relevant manufacturer API access and partnerships. They are stated as direction and intent, not as currently available features. Product names and trademarks referenced belong to their respective owners and are used to describe intended interoperability only.
Two roles, one platform
Equus Connect follows a two-tier model familiar to anyone who works with professional security systems: a professional layer for those who design and commission systems, and a clean everyday layer for the people who live with them.
Equus Connect PRO
A professional toolset for configuring, commissioning and maintaining client systems across multiple sites.
- Multi-site configuration and device commissioning
- Role and permission management across systems
- Integration setup and diagnostics in one place
- Built by an installer, for the way installers actually work
Equus Connect
A clear, everyday interface focused on day-to-day control — without the complexity of the systems underneath.
- One app for security, heating, lighting and video
- Simple, consistent everyday control
- Permission-aware — people see only what they should
- Designed for clarity and trust, not clutter
Where Equus Connect is heading
The platform is in active development. Our priority is getting the foundations right — a secure, reliable core built on official integrations — before expanding outward.
The Ajax core
Building the platform around official Ajax integration as the secure backbone, and establishing the partnership and API access to support it properly.
Connected systems
Adding climate, CCTV and automation integrations one at a time, each on official APIs, with reliability and security held to the same standard as the core.
Platform & partners
Maturing the PRO toolset for multi-site professional use and growing the integration partner ecosystem around a single, trusted platform.
A platform for someone's home has to earn trust
Equus Connect sits in front of the systems that protect a home — alarms, cameras, doors. That places a higher bar on how it is built. Security is not a feature here; it is the starting condition.
We explored the unofficial integrations that exist for systems like these, and saw first-hand how much risk they introduce — bypassing the very permission controls meant to keep people safe. That experience became our founding principle: the systems people rely on most for their safety must only ever be integrated through legitimate, manufacturer-supported APIs. Reverse-engineered access is not a shortcut we are willing to take, because the people who would carry that risk are the ones trusting the system to protect them.
Supported integrations only
We build on official, manufacturer-supported APIs and partnerships — not unofficial or reverse-engineered access. It is the only basis we consider acceptable for a system connected to security devices.
Permission-aware by design
Access is governed by clearly defined roles, and every component is granted only what it needs. People and integrations see and control only what they are entitled to — and nothing more.
Security taken seriously
We hold ourselves to responsible-disclosure principles and treat the integrity of connected systems as paramount. Trust, permissions and data protection are foundational, not bolted on later.
Built on real installation experience
Equus Connect is developed by Equus Media. The platform grew directly out of hands-on work as an authorised Ajax installer — and out of living with exactly the problem it solves: a home running Ajax security alongside separate heating, CCTV and automation systems, each in its own app.
That experience shapes the product's first principle: security comes first, and the Ajax system belongs at the core. Everything else links in around it, on official integrations, with permissions and trust treated as foundational rather than afterthoughts.
We're building deliberately — official APIs, real partnerships, and a standard of engineering and security practice we'd be comfortable deploying across professional installations.
Partnership & integration enquiries
We're actively seeking official integration partnerships to build Equus Connect on a foundation of secure, supported APIs. If you'd like to discuss working together, we'd be glad to hear from you.
